Guild Education:
The education committe coordinates the Guild's efforts to educate all those interested in the art of quilting and other related fiber arts by organizing Quilt Day for Kids, awarding scholarships to Guild members for workshops, giving presentations to schools, offering beginning quilt classes and conductiong other outreach programs as appropriate and coordinating the Grant/Scholarship Program.

We introduce kids to quilting in our Quilt Day for Kids event which is held annually.  They participate in small groups painting, stamping, sewing, creating and having fun while learning about quilting. 

This year Quilt Day for Kids will be held

Date:    Saturday, March 10, 2012
Time:    9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Location:    Journey Church
                 450 Blue Ravine Church, Folsom

Guild members are needed as volunteers to work the different stations such as stencil a quilt, tie a quilt, make a quilt square, appliqué, and color a quilt square.  Volunteers will be needed at the church by 8:00 am to help setup and will be required to stay until about 12:30 pm for cleanup.
