For several years the guild sponsored a bus trip to the wonderful quilt show in Sisters, Oregon. We decided not to make that trip in 2000, and did something totally different instead. Twenty-six women (some were guild members, some were not) went on a retreat to Zephyr Point, a fabulous facility on Lake Tahoe owned by the Presbyterian Church — the perfect place to relax. The retreat was held May 23 through 26, 2000.
All of the women (shown in the above photo) who attended that first retreat raved about the trip when they returned. They consider themselves to be "charter members", and said they would like to attend next year. The guild is now booking the facility twice a year!

A good time is always had by all! When sign-ups open for each retreat, all spaces usually fill by the end of that general meeting.
